Terms of use

Last updated · 16 October 2026

The rules of the Ministry. Short, because nobody reads long ones, and binding, because that is what terms are.

1. These terms

These terms apply when you use ministryofoats.com or a Ministry of Oats account. The site is operated by Outpost Kitchen Private Limited, Bengaluru, India (“we”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or over to create an account.
  • Give us accurate details and keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person, one account. City votes and petitions count once per citizen.
  • You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the site or other people.

3. Orders

Orders placed through Swiggy or Zomato are contracts with those platforms and follow their terms, including on payment, delivery, cancellation and refunds. We are responsible for the food we prepare.

4. Subscriptions

Registering for a plan before launch reserves your interest; it is not a purchase and nothing is charged. Prices, packs, cut-off times, delivery areas, and pause and cancellation rules will be shown before you pay, and the terms in force at that time will apply.

5. Petitions and votes

When you ask us to send a petition to your employer, you confirm that you are an employee there and that you may share the contact you give us for this purpose. We send the request in your name; your employer decides whether to offer a discount. City votes express interest and do not oblige us to open anywhere.

6. Recipes you submit

  • You keep ownership of your recipes and photos.
  • If you submit one for public review, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for length and style, and share it on our site and channels, credited to the display name you chose.
  • Submit only your own work, nothing unlawful or unsafe, and no one else's personal data. We may decline or remove any submission.
  • You can ask us to unpublish a recipe at any time.

7. Our content

The site, its text, recipes, illustrations, logos and the Ministry of Oats name belong to us or our licensors. You may share links and cook the recipes; please do not copy the site or use our marks without permission.

8. Health information

Nutrition figures are estimates. Recipes and product descriptions are general information, not medical or dietary advice. Check ingredients for allergens before eating, and ask a professional if you have a condition.

9. Liability

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using the site. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Privacy

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy notice.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have to approach a consumer forum.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and we tell signed-in citizens about material changes. Questions: hello@ministryofoats.com.

Complaints about the site, your account or your personal data: write to our Grievance Officer, Rushil, at rushil@ministryofoats.com or +91 6354-142435.
